Hello! This year I lost my hospitality job for obvious reasons My hotel filed my benefit for me through September. Then I was fortunate enough to work 3 months for the Census Bureau. When the job ended, I filed for unemployment again in late December and received a notice that they had processed my claim -though I never heard from them whether or not I'd be receiving benefits. According to their qualifications, I should have been approved. Unfortunately, I'm not receiving the benefits and have not have heard anything else since filing. I've gone to the website to research the next steps and have attempted to reach out to all the contact numbers and emails. The worst thing is that I've called and emailed all the numbers/addresses provided at least 30 times, without a single response. Does anybody know the trick to get ahold of them so that I can finally resolve this issue? thanks!

This sounds like a huge issue that others are having too. You may want to contact an attorney like these 6 Georgians did (https://tennesseestar.com/2021/01/11...obless-claims/).

This may be helpful too: https://www.legalconsumer.com/unempl...php?FIPS=13121

I hope everything works out for you.

Had the same situation. I worked for the U.S. Census Bureau July-Sept 2019, I got laid off from my regular job because of covid, May 2020 and have tried numerous times to have those wages from working the Census included. What is so frustrating, is that despite the dire need to have the unemployment offices open during this pandemic, the governors here in Rhode Island and Massachusetts have declared them “non essential.”
