There are going to be some that like where they live, love it, dislike it, or hate it. Yeah, I hate Winston-Salem. I always have, at least since my teens. I've lived other places that I have actually liked better: Charlotte, London (UK)...or hated more: Durham, and some hellhole in Kentucky. If you like this city, fine. I'm glad for you. But don't get your knockers in a wad because others don't. Oh, and if it's anyone on CD's biz, I'm getting the heck out next year. January. You can maybe buy my house out here in the sticks and get with the local rednecks on the weekend to shoot your guns. LOL.
We heard you the first 9 times you said this. You're not adding anything whatsoever to the discussion and I should hope you're not an actual screenwriter with this pattern of yours.
Sure. This forum, WSTB, and pretty much every online platform--Facebook and Twitter included--are populated by a tiny cross-section of the world. Most people don't use them at all, and the majority of those who do mostly use them to consume, rather than provide, information.
If you spend a lot of time online, you get the impression that the opinions you see there are representative of the world. They aren't. They're the product of a tiny, loud minority of people.
So as I said in my previous post, the sum total of active posters on this sub and WSTB, combined, is what, maybe a hundred individuals? Some of whom don't even live in the Triad? In a combined metro of more than 1.5 million?

Greensboro - 83 (apparently does not include High Point)
Fayetteville - 143.
W-S ranked amongst “ The South's Best Cities On the Rise 2021”
Quote:
The ingenuity of the city’s Moravian founders has translated into a community of young entrepreneurs and creators who spurred a live-work-play revolution. That spirit is most apparent at Innovation Quarter, a downtown-based research park that encompasses 90 companies, over 1,000 residences, 5 academic institutions, and 20 miles of connected greenways and parks—plus restaurants, coffee shops, and watering holes.
Someone questioned why W-S would want to rank high as a retirement city. The obvious reason is cause the retirees relocating to W-S a likely to have a disposable income. Why are some cities in NC ranking high as retirement centers? Retirees want to be near their G’children that live in NC.
Winston-Salem is one of the top cities for young professionals in the IT industry...
When does that expand to generally available fibre optic ?
