It’s both BPS and Cabela’s. There’s a sign for both on the front of the building.
Yes Probably just because they carry the Cabela's brand products inside. It's listed as Bass Pro Shops (formerly Cabela's) in the store locator on their site.
I don't think it's been mentioned here but the big sign at Cabela's at Magnolia Park has been changed to Bass Pro Shops. It's officially now listed as a BPS (formerly Cabela's) on Woodruff Rd and the upstate officially has their Bass Pro and it's in Greenville.
I would guess since the merger Bass Pro Shops is phasing out the Cabela's brand. They have been sharing and consolidating the same inventory and house brands. So now the Upstate finally has a Bass Pro Shops and the proposed former location near Greer has been cancelled and the property sold. I wonder if the Charlotte Cabela's next to Carowinds at Fort Mill has also been converted to BPS?
Would be nice if could have been some sort of nicer retail lifestyle center with maybe a Target, Belk, Harris Teeter or Publix, health and fitness, specialty shops and restaurants. Disappointing it will just be a warehouse distribution center instead.

I think Bass Pro is much more a destination than Cabela's ever was. I would be extremely disappointed if I showed up at a Bass Pro only to find out it was a rebranded Cabela's/

I would guess it would eventually be converted more to the BPS format.
