I've lived in South Jersey all my life and now it's time to GO! We (hubby and 2 children) are looking for a simple, plesant, small town that's not over crowed and congested but yet has plenty to do for the kids and shopping available within a few miles. After doing a lot of research, I found Simpsonville and Mauldin. They look like really nice, cozy neighborhoods and the schools look pretty good too. We are coming for a visit in July and I wanted to know, can someone suggest any places that we should see or visit? Maybe to give us a bit of history or places that kids 8 & 12 can enjoy? Any info on the towns within that area would also be helpful.

Smile Simpsonville

Hello, I just moved to Simpsonville from Alabama and I like it alot, There is lots of great shopping and several places to eat that Is wonderful, schools are great I would look into Oakview El in Simpsonville. Everyone seems very nice here and yes its not to busy. Woodruff road is a nightmare between 1100-1300 you will have a time on that road if your in a hurry, but there are several backroads around woodruff road to avoid this prob. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any help. Good Luck, T

Hi, I too am from Central/Southern Jersey and you are right it is time to go!!! I am deciding between Fort Mill S.C and Troutman N.C. both towns are building new homes with large lots (1+acre) at reasonable prices. Good Luck with your search and hope all works out for you.

Thanks for the info Trey! My husband and I are planning a trip down in July and I'm so excited because of all the great things I've been hearing about Simpsonville. I hope to get a good feel for the town and people and start making some plans for a move.

Sandles,
I hear ya, I just can't take NJ anymore, it's really depressing. I feel that in the next 10 years you'll have 2 classes here, the rich and the poor. No room for the middle class because we have to work our butts off to make a living and keep our homes! It's chasing a lot of people from NJ, check out their forum. Good luck to you!
