I am sad because my friend died unexpectedly this weekend. He left behind a wife and a family. One thing that is tragic about it is that he passed so close to retirement age so he will never get to experience retirement.I feel so sorry for his wife and family. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you lost a friend C24L. I think it's tragic and such a shame when someone passes so close to retirement age too.

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a friend prematurely and unexpectedly like this leaves a huge hole.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My husband died unexpectedly at age 62 - three years from retirement. He was actually planning on working five more years. Anyway, it was such a shock. I understand your pain and your concern for his family as well. It's rough.
