Has anyone gone this weekend? How is it this year?

So I met up with some friends there. It was really lacking this year. While there were some really good artist and some amazing pieces everything was way jacked up in price. The food and entertainment was also lacking compared to pre covid.

But all the dogs on the boardwalk were well behaved and super cute (Sooo glad to see them all out after the super hot summer and tourist!) I barely saw any mask wearers though I saw and heard a few coughers and sneezers!

Hoping next years will be better!

Thanks for the update. I saw your post but it was Sunday by then and we already had full day plans.

We went to Busch Gardens Friday and had an amazing time. Same thing there….very very few masks, and everybody was packed in tight for ride lines. I’m old enough to not care about ‘fitting in’, and we wore masks while in line and close to others.

Hallow Scream? How was it this year? I really wanted to go this year but haven't been able to fit it in my schedule. I'll probably just be able do the Hunt Club with my friends. It's a tradition for us!

Can’t vouch for previous years, but I thought it was pretty amazing. We only went through one haunted house, but it was very well done. And riding coasters at night…wow.

We spent the last 10 years living in Hawaii, so riding coasters in general was pretty cool. This place is a whole different level from other parks I have been to in the past. Favorite has to be the Griffon.

Hunt Club? Not familiar with that.

Love Griffon! I am familiar with Hawaii. I'm friends with some of the locals and have been fortunate enough to spend some quality time there. If you are in Va beach Hunt club is the local place to go for Halloween fun. No roller coasters but worth the money. Today was "wicked Wednesday" $20 unlimited passes if you purchased before 9PM. Totally worth it. May not be amusement park but so much "scare" fun.
Edit: Did you do the 3D haunted show? It was kind of like a "Rocky Horror Show"!

Sounds interesting, thanks for the tip!

Didn’t even know about the 3D show, that would have been fun.

My son went last weekend. I did not want to go due to the crowds - I have been many many times over the years. When he came home the next day (he spend the night in Williamsburg) he said it was a good thing I didn't go - he said it was the most crowded he had ever seen. Ridiculous lines (but they always are) and just no way to avoid the huge throngs of people. I miss the Hallowscream of years ago. I can't stand waiting in line nearly 2 hours for rides. That is not enjoyable for me.

Did not even know it was that weekend. I thought it was always in September. I used to go many years ago but never seem to find the time in recent years. It did used to be a great show, but that was like 30 years ago LOL.

I guess it was later this year. I didn't even know it was going on 30 years ago! OMG, I googled it. This was the 65th year! Way before my time lol! IDK what year this pic is from but it looks old! Doesn't even look like there was a boardwalk! That does look like the 1st st jetty that is still there for us to bring our boat in though.
