Im pretty new to norfolk/hampton roads and my in laws are coming to visit for a week. So my question is what are some local things that are interesting and/or unique to do around here? My mother in law likes antiques and my father in law used to be in the navy in his younger years. They will also be bringing their 7 year old grandson. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Well, you could take them to Nauticus, in Norfolk. I'm not sure how it is now, as I haven't been there in a few years but we always enjoyed it and there seemed to be a lot to do there.

My spouse is from MA, now it's boring when he goes to visit back home. There is alot to do here.

Olde Towne Portsmouth. Take the ferry over, then head to the Children's Museum and there are antique shops too. Also the Virginia Sports museum is a great place - all this in Olde Towne. Restaurants too.

Take yourself over to the bookstore, go to the travel section and look for "The
Insider's Guide to Virginia Beach." Look for the most recent edition.
