Hello. I have a daytime sales job that is my career. However, with the economy being what it is, times are slow.

I am considering getting a 2nd job during late late night and was looking for suggestions/ideas.

Anyone even know how to search for these jobs?

restaurants employ in the evening. Big chain stores have a night shift for stocking. Nursing homes and hospitals have need for workers on night shifts as well as 24 hr convenience stores. It just depends on what you want to do. It should not be too hard to find something because a lot of people don't prefer those shifts. You can look on the internet, paper or just go to the facility itself and inquire. Good luck.

Check with Pepsi, Wal-Mart, Target. Wal-Mart retail offers night shifts as well as their distribution centers. You may want to also look into a cleaning service. I know that many corporate offices have their buildings cleaned at night when everyone is gone.

Take it from someone who has worked graveyard shift--You can't work all night and then work all day. It's really hard on your body to work overnight. I am a night owl, but still working overnight was exhausting. I used to struggle to stay awake behind the wheel after working overnights. I think most people that do two jobs work days and then early evenings, not graveyard. That said, you can often get paid more to work graveyard shift since it's harder to fill. I did make more money doing that, but I've thrown out my black curtains (which are lifesavers if you have to sleep during the day).
