I'm a little concerned =/
My ears ring all the time, off and on. I thought it was normal, nothing to worry about, until I came across this website.

Last night and all day today, my ears have been acting up. One ear will ring, while the other sounds staticky <sp?>

I've never heard of this before, and neither has anyone I've talked to about it.

If any of you have any information on this, please email me with any of it. I would appreciate it so much.
I'm 18 and freaking out, I don't want to lose my hearing!!!

KaylaJune90; You might just have ear wax. As a senior with 50% hearing loss and now have a hearing aids, it's no fun. You may have a little tinnitis which is the ringing. Your young and maybe loud music or loud ear piece is your problem. Anyway, see a Ears,Nose,Throat specialist for a check up bypassing a regular MD who will maybe clean a little wax for a temporary solution then suggest you see the aformentioned MD anyway. Take care. Steve

it about did drive me insane the first year. I recall when it first began and I thought it would end(ha!!) I would cry a lot about it and couldn't think of anything but the ringing. A friend told me, 3 months into my situation; that she had met a lady that had the same thing and had it for over 20 years. I remember thinking, "oh no way-I'll just die first!"......well 25 years later my ears are still ringing. If it's quiet I can really not get away from the sound but for the most part I just won't focus on it. I use my noise machine at night or leave the TV on all night. Tinnitus-a mystery to the medical field.

I too suffer tinnitus. I'm skeptical of the potions sold on the internet for treatment after reading the bottom line disclaimers. If there were a cure it would be most welcome. I've been to specialist that were honest and did not take money for a series of treatments that they new would not work. During the last 2 months mine has got much worse. Constant ringing of more than one tone mostly in my right ear. I have a faint high pitch and a loud middle pitch Other tones and pitches come and go. If this keeps up I'll have a complete ensemble before many more years pass. My only relief seems to be to get myself focused on a project with sounds around me so I don't notice as much.

The only thing I would like to add is certain medications such as aspirin and changes in blood pressure can trigger ringing in the ears. I hope those with this can find some type of relief soon.

Maybe it is just a coincidence but most that have mentioned one side say it's the left ear....as I sit here with this whine going on in my left ear
Wonder if there is any significance to that if it is,indeed, more prevelant?

For me it could be that I used to drive with the window open on my side?
