I've always been a neutral paint kind of girl....but I tried Clary Sage by SW and love it on the wall. I've tried benjamin moore paints before and never again...I'm a Sherwin Williams convert! I used Benjamin Moore Aura line to paint my bathrooms and they turned out a horrible streaky mess! I even had to hire a professional painter to straighten out the mess. Now that I've used Sherwin Williams, I know now that it was not user error....The cashmere line of Sherwin Williams went on like butter and absolutely no roller marks. I've even touched up in various places and the touch ups blend in and you could never tell. I had benjamin moore washable regal flat in my prior home and you could always see where touchups were...the paint always seemed a different sheen in those areas....but not with SW.

Clary Sage is more of a rich muted blue green instead of a straight up sage. My husband even loves it and keeps looking at the walls! It could slightly pass as a neutral since it is not a bright color, but gives enough color to make it interesting. In a room will little light, it takes on more of a blue hue and is darker....in a room with a lot of light it appears much lighter and has more of a sagey hue. It really does look like Cashmere on the wall!

I also spray painted my goldish bronze chandelier with rustoleum's oiled rubbed bronze spray paint and you could never tell it's spray paint. It looks awesome. I found it on craigslist for cheap and now I have a very expensive looking chandelier.

My next project is to paint magnetic paint on an old large picture and then layers of chalkboard paint. I'm going to spray the frame in the oiled rubbed bronze and then I will have an instand elegant chalkboard I can put magnets on to hang in my kitchen!

We would like to paint several shiny gold fixtures. Did you have to prime first?

I didn't prime, but the fixture didn't have a shiny finish. It would be best if you primed. Rustoleum has a primer for metal that is also a spray paint.

That's because you looked at Benjamin Moore website.

The OP is talking about Sherwin Williams Clary Sage.

If you check the Sherwin Williams website, you'll see it doesn't look neutral. It's definitely green.
