Ay ya ya. I'd drop those kiddos off at the police station. Haha! j/k

Nebraska Furniture Mart has a lot of leather options.
We were looking for a lighter tan, and they had a couple to choose from not too long ago.
Just be careful of the bonded leather. I understand it doesn't hold up too well.

What about Ikea? I know they have some modern leather sofas. The hubby is very partial to one there.

I assumed the leather sofas at Ikea aren't of high quality

Check out a brand called Palliser. They are a Canadian company and I've been very pleased with the leather loveseat I got about a year and a half ago. Super comfortable and that's for a modern style, not an overstuffed style.

This is mine, except mine is teal. You can pick from dozens of different leather colors for all of their styles.

Have you checked out online places? I bought my leather loveseat, 2 matching chairs and ottoman online for less than $2,500 total over 10 years ago -- and they all still look as good today as they did back then.

Elite Leather Company - View All Sofas

You might be able to find a retailer near you. I can vouch for the quality.

I don't know about the price points though.

Crate & Barrel has some GREAT leather sofas that are not at all poofy. A bit more than you wanted to spend, but I expect the quality is good.
They have sectionals, too.

Some excellent designs there, as well as some seriously funky ones.
