If I had that kind of space, I would turn it into a pantry/storage room. This is what I've done with my second bedroom (8x8 roughly) since I live alone. Buy some cheap shelves at Ikea if you have one nearby (they have one full-size shelf for $14.99! I have a ton in my house and they're awesome) and throw them on the walls. Keep your cleaning products, small outdoor stuff, tools, important documents, etc. in that room. Add a few more shelves and use them as a pantry! Mine is a godsend, since my kitchen is ridiculously small.
