On HGTV these days, it seems like a lot of the walls in the various homes shown are painted in a range of different colors like green, gray, red, and other non-neutral colors. In the house I currently live in and in the one I lived before that, all of the wall colors are or were of white/light-beige variation. I was just curious as to when all-white walls in houses went out of style exactly, was it just a 90s trend for the most part for instance? Also for homes the have a mix of some walls as white and other walls with non-white shades, is there a method as to how people usually decide as to which walls will feature color and which will be painted white?
Same here. The only advantage I see to having white walls is it makes it easy to paint them. I really enjoy having warm tones in my home. All the new homes have either gray or white and that's just too sterile for my taste, but to each his/her own.
