Nowhere near specific enough to get a good response. I assume your other comment is really asking whether you get a better deal at a company owned store, or a dealer store?

For the best "deal" on a cell phone, buy it outright, without a subsidy from the carrier. If you want a basic phone without email, nice cameras, etc., watch slickdeals.com. They will post when a carrier's basic phone are being sold out in a retail store. You can pick up a basic phone for $20 or less. These are usually intended for prepaid service, but that doesnt matter. Then get it activated on a standard rate plan.

For a nice phone, I usually buy on craigslist. I paid $200 for MyTouch3g when they were fairly new. I have it on my plan with Tmobile, and I get a better rate because Im out of contract. I pay $130/mo for two lines, unlimited phone, text, web.

There is no free lunch. That "free" phone is very expensive.
