In all honesty, I’m doubtful the full land and every phase will be developed in 20 years. As I mentioned this is a HUGE project. And you never know what the world will bring in the next 20 years. It could be a major global recession. Could be a major war. Could be a pandemic. Regardless of what it is, these events happen and affect the timetable of developments as large of scale of these.

The many Texas Medical Center developments are likely here to stay through those because they are an important industry for humanity and economics while East River is a CRE focused mixed use project. A great one but still what it is.

The Aspire Tower in Uptown just opened. Passed by that area earlier. Uptown’s skyline is getting really nice. Getting actual sky scrapers now.

I must say.. the new Louis Vuitton store is quite the beauty! Even with two Louis stores in the same mall, the lines are so long to get in!

Pretty good article that talks about TMC3 both from a neighborhood/architectural and economic perspective.

Chinatown is going vertical with the Asian City Center development that was just announced to be breaking ground.

This is awesome for the area. The only current high rise that I know of over there is the American First National Bank building. Between this and the Noodoe EV hq announcement, it’s good to see that area get investments after COVID put quite the toll. Right behind Dun Huang Plaza too!

is that really going to happen?

Remember they had a similar development slated for Beechnut (or Bissonnet) at the Beltway with 2 high rises and everything - broke ground and it stalled - just a bunch of overgrown cement now

Yes this isn’t an early rendering. It’s the ground breaking announcement and they already secured tennants. It may even be the same project you’re talking about that got delayed from COVID

River Oaks District will be taken over by local uo and coming movie theater chain Star Cinema Grill.

It will be interesting to see how these two combine!

Not River Oaks District. I think you meant River Oaks Theater.
