Huntsville's Wish List (salons, mattress, buyer)

Hi, everyone.

I'm not new to the forum actually. I just "lurk" all the time instead of post.

I thought that since we love to talk about our stores that'd come to HSV or restaurants/activities, it'd be nice to just make a thread called Huntsville's Wish List.

This is a thread where every conceivable idea about what businesses, services, restaurants, shops, nightlife, young-adult professionals scenes, etc can be thrown out and talked about.

I, for one, would love to see:


Services/Businesses
Tailors
Tanning salons
Trash Pickup more frequent

Establishments
Dave n' Busters or something close to it.
Macy's (yes, I saw the tax problems thread)

Restaurants
Trumbull Kitchen
Cheesecake Factory

Nightlife
Laser-tag
Gun ranges
Go Karts
An legit skating rink
A more interactive mini-golf course
Anything restaurant that is open later than 10 that doesn't include iHop, Friday's, or Waffle House.


I'd even like to see a stronger public transportation scene *shrugs*.

I would love to see shopping and eating downtown. I'm all for macy's coming to huntsville but instead of bridgestreet why not on the first two floors of some low/medium rise downtown???

I also wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options.

I know Earth Fare has a juice bar but I don't know anyone else that has that.

We have alterations folks everywhere, but a real deal tailor is not to be found.

Tanning Salons? You can't find one? Well if you genuinely can't find one, your skin will thank you for not getting cancer.

I agree on garbage pick up, but I have gotten use to once a week pick up and it saves the city TONS of money, so I am ok with it.

Dave N Busters could be good.

Macy's isn't happening anytime time this decade. Downtown is a terrible idea.

Never heard of Trumball, but Cheesecake factory is rumored to be coming here at BS.

We are also getting a legit skating rink. But don't we have 2 now?

Also I go to Steak N Shake after 10 now.
