Anyone have any idea what they are doing at Brownsferry and Balch?

I thought the roundabout was canceled about two years back.

Thank you for the information.

It's an ambitious schedule with a goal of having it completed prior to the start of school this fall. It is suppose to be a 90 day build but if I understood it correctly, the 90 day clock may not be continuous. The availability of construction crews is the stated greatest risk to the schedule; weather aside.

The roundabout is suppose to be much like one at the intersection of Lindsey Lane and Nick Davis Road.

Oh my goodness, I looked at the detour map, and I feel sorry for the folks who live in the neighborhoods affected.

Progress seems to have grounded to a halt from my eye.
There was an a hope that the work would be done before school started back up this August.

Hard to do much with all the rain we've had. Our red clay soil gets pretty sticky when wet.

Great that this is finally opening. Several years ago i mentioned to the now retired city engineer that they should have put a roundabout at Balch and Brownsferry, because it would have been a little more simple and allowed people over there to get used to it. Because it is only a 3-way and not a 4-way. He said that there wasn't a need and plopped down another stop sign. Oh well.
