Having a storm safe area with 100 employees would certainly be big but far less than trying to storm proof an entire 1 million square foot warehouse. Security could also be the “weather monitors” to stay on top of notifications and alerts.

Send everyone home except essential personnel who would have access to an on-site shelter that would accommodate those staying.

In the tornados of April 2011, Independence Tube in Decatur took a direct hit from the F5 on April 27th. It destroyed their plant but the 25 workers survived due to well built storm shelters. My guess is that this factory was built a lot stronger than all the new warehouses.
