The biggest factor of how each neighborhood (or zip code) compares to another is the ratings of the respective school districts for which that neighborhood is zoned for.

All of the neighborhoods located in the City of Madison are zoned for some of the best public schools in the state of Alabama. Madison's two high schools, Bob Jones and James Clemons are usually rated in the top ten in the state. Keep in mind however, there are some homes which may have a Madison, 35758 address, but are actually located in the City of Huntsville or are located in unincorporated Madison County, so they are not zoned for Madison City Schools. - I'm thinking of some of those along Slaughter Rd.

Regarding the Village of Providence - While it is a very attractive neighborhood with a Huntsville City Schools elementary school located in the neighborhood, Providence Elementary, very few of the children in the neighborhood actually attend that school. It is not highly rated. The overwhelming majority of the kids in Providence attend one of the private schools. Westminster Christian Academy (affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of the same name) is less than a mile away, John Paul II High School (Catholic) and Madison Academy (Church of Christ) are also nearby, on the south side of Research Park. A few attend Randolph School (located in Jones Valley). In the spring, families with a child graduating from high school, will have a sign in their yard congratulating their child and the high school will be listed. I have never seen a Columbia High School (the public high school which Providence is zoned for) sign in a yard in Providence.

Also, the homes in Providence typically sell for $300 per square foot, which is considerably higher than most homes in the Huntsville area.

By contrast, there are numerous older neighborhoods in Madison which were built in the late 1980's and 90's and have very reasonable prices, but would be considered dated and don't have the typical restrictions of neighborhoods with strong HOA's, yet are zoned for the same schools as the kids living in the million-dollar homes in Clift's Cove, so they are a great value when you consider the public schools.

So, if you don't have kids to consider, or plan on private schools, then the Village of Providence or the many neighborhoods located in Huntsville which are not zoned for highly rated schools (like those along Zierdt Rd.) would be good options.

Alternatively, All of the neighborhoods located in the State of Alabama are zoned for the following two Public Schools:

Athens Renaissance School

Alabama Connections Academy

This could be the new educational model across the board in Years to come.

Is the Alabama Connections Academy the new math school at Wynn/Bradford?

Their physical building is located off of AL-99 in Athens.

Mostly Virtual except for in person testing and field trips.

from reading your posts, I'd say the best zip code is the furthest one away from you.

Funny, but the OP has left the building. Guess he/she got bored with the drama they stirred up.
