Just opened in the last week or so. We planned to go there tonight with my daughter/SIL and wife; but my daughter went by after work (they live in the area) and said the line was out the door. They apparently ran out of food over the weekend as well.

Anyone been there yet and can give a report?

Not Yet, drive past it daily and their parking lots stay packed both day and night.

Saw the sign for Mo’Bay Beignet Co. / Bay Town Burger Co. on Jeff Road and I expect a similar reception when they open.

I know this might not perfectly fit this thread but I got two questions:

  1. could you elaborate as to where on Jeff road this (Mo’Bay Beignet Co./Bay Town Burger Co) might be?
  2. does anyone know when it will open?

Thanks, I am just excited for Beignets!

The sign is located at 1981 Jeff Road NW. (Across Philips Park Plaza)

Set to open Spring/Summer 2024.

I recently went to Beignet Cafe in Ole Hickory BBQ for a Saturday breakfast last month.

My wife, granddaughter and I went to Hickory Store BBQ last Thursday around 4:15 PM or so. It opens at 4, so it was already busy. Sign on the wall had their specials with a caveat: "Until We Run Out!". Apparently, this is a recurring theme with their new opening. If you go, I would go early.

I got the wings and smoked sausage. Both were excellent! My wife got the loaded potato (she said too much white sauce; will order it on the side next time) and she got my two sides: Mac and cheese and fried okra. Granddaughter ate the okra and mac and cheese. Wasn't interested in the sausage or wings.

Beer selection was about 6-7 draft beers (mostly local breweries near as I could tell) and then 10-12 standard canned and bottled varieties. Note: there was no tranny beer sold nor advertised.

We'll be going again.

I believe it was a clever reference to the size of his stick shift.
