“And you’re walking [slowly] with a flat foot or a shuffle step almost.”

“[You’re] keeping your center of gravity over your feet — so you might be like leaning forward just a little bit.”

Keep your hands out of your pockets and extend your arms out to your sides to maintain balance.

Keep smiling when you are videotaped to look great on social media

Neoprene and non-slip rubber soles are best.

Avoid shoes with smooth soles and heels.

Oh, great! I had seen that and kept silent about it. Now I am taking bets as to which tv weathercaster will be standing in front of the green screen telling us all how to walk!

This amount of patronizing by kent, edu deserves a followup:

"In cases where walking is unadvisable, CRAWL."

To crawl safely, a belly position offers the least chance of looking like a dying turtle and being shot.

Extend one hand forward in a swimming motion, but try to grip the ice by putting more weight on that hand.

While drawing the hand in, kick with the leg opposite of the hand to keep from going around in circles.

Once the range of motion is complete, repeat with the other arm and leg.

Do not attempt crawling on ice in just a bathing suit. Sensitive naughty bits may freeze.

If you happen to have been wearing high heels while attempting to walk, you may be able to use them to your advantage in one of two ways: By grasping the body of the shoe and whanging it into the ice, you may be able to gain a small amount of traction. Otherwise, you can use them later in an attack on the frat boys at kent.edu

Harry, there was already a video a couple of days ago about walking like a penguin on ice. It wasn't locally produced though - probably something on TikTok. Can't remember what channel it was on.
