"New York Republican leaders are calling on Gov. Kathy Hochul to deploy National Guard troops to the southern border to deal with the influx of asylum seekers.
In a letter to Hochul, Senate Minority Leader Rob Ortt, R-Tonawanda, and Assemblyman Will Barclay, R-Pulaksi, urge the Democratic governor to deploy the National Guard "immediately to assist the State of Texas and New York Canadian border in efforts to stop the flow of migrants coming into our country illegally."
“Immigration reform is a matter that must be dealt with on the federal level," they wrote. "However, we hope you agree that the states’ sovereign right to protect its citizens and its communities must be valued above the actions of federal authorities."
Other States feeling the pain don't want this now.
It was OK with them when it was Texas, Arizona, and California.
The Gov. of NY seems to be very supportive of the illegals flooding NY, so I doubt she will send the National Guard to protect this country from the mass invasion.
We, those that give a darn about our country, in Kansas have encouraged our Governor Kelly (a loser of a Dem) to support TX. Our representatives have made a statement of support, and asked the Dem to do it. She is thinking about it. She had her head so far up Biden's butt during the pandemic that she nearly disappeared! I still don't know how she won, as the AG voted in is a Republican, as are most other elected officials here. (Maybe they have a system if you support them?)
They are afraid of Biden's radical leftist handlers, not senile Joe Biden.
