Say what you want about Pritzker (Republicans have said plenty), but he was the one to finally dislodge Madigan. Many governors, including Republicans Thompson, Edgar, Ryan, and Rauner; didn't. Pritzker should use this in advertising instead of just ridiculing the opponent he bankrolled.

Pritzker didn't really do anything to dislodge Rauner. The former speaker was always more powerful than the governor. The credit goes to Rauner who launched the campaign pointing out how awful Madigan was over 4 years (Madigan always liked to assert his power quietly)...combined with the ComEd federal charges....and eventually the 19 democrats who voted "No" to him being speaker that led to his resignation. Pritzker was just kinda there when it happened.

What makes you think politicians don't do the same. Only morons use texts and emails.

Pritzker honestly has been better than most. The state has an improved (albeit still bad) financial position. He actually gave back some of the surplus to taxpayers. He's done a fair amount for early childhood causes, and other charitable efforts on his own.

He's also a calming presence in front of the camera.

I HATE the crime bill he passed, and he was a fool for trying to hoodwink us on the "Fair Tax". But that failed at least.

So to me, he has two big strikes mixed in with general decent governance. This, to me, is better than average for Illinois. And I voted for Rauner, twice.

Voting for JB over Dan Bailey will be an easy decision. Bailey is a culture war zealot, who literally said, "let's move on" hours after the Highland Park tragedy, and thinks women who get raped should be forced to have the baby. He's a tone deaf hick.

I appreciate the early morning laugh! I couldn't imagine looking at that pig and thinking he brings a calming presence, a reminder that Illinois voters are truly worlds apart.

Do fat people offend you or stress you out?

He has a very congenial demeanor.

Lightfoot, by contrast, is not fat, but she is NOT a calming presence. She sounds angry and pessimistic a lot of the time. Pritzker is generally positive and unfettered.
