How is the fall foliage like across the state of Indiana and in the Indianapolis area as of the last few days? Also, when do you think the trees will be at their peak in terms of fall foliage in 2021, both across central Indiana and across the entire Hoosier state in 2021?

Peak fall foliage now in western Floyd County, later than last year by a week and a half.

The leaves have barely started turning color in Indianapolis.

I must be in a different microclimate or have different types of trees. The coolest low has only been 39F on my weather station so far, although a hard freeze looks more likely in early November now.

I don't think it's been that cool here. It's rainy and 57 degrees right now; it's supposed to get to 68 later.

What’s that supposed to mean? I’ve seen pics of some colors in the area. There is no way there’s no colors unless all the trees are going to brown without changing colors. Is that’s what happening in central Indiana this year?

The colder weather the past week has finally caused some trees to start changing. It was much more noticeable today than even a few days ago, but I'd say it's still primarily green. Brown County has a leaf cam

You could also check out various traffic cameras that INDOT has, especially the ones in more rural areas.

If you search YouTube, Carmel has a few webcams streaming live as well, especially the one from Carmel City Hall.

These should all give you some idea of what the fall colors are like here.

One of the best areas for fall foliage outside of northern New England is Vilas County, WI, haven't been there in Autumn in a few years, however.

WOW

I’ve never seen so many green trees so late in October in my 25+ years of living there.

Me thinks a peak in fall colors around Halloween this year in Indy and across central Indiana barring a major wind or rain storm?

Thanks for all the resources btw
