Wow, that's odd! I, too, live in Calais, and I've been very happy with the food. The friendliness of the natives has been unsurpassed, as well, but I do find attitude is completely mirrored. You get what you give - it's the golden rule. I'm sad to think that you're feeling put off by the people. I'm pretty sure you've been invited to every ladies lunch they've had for months now. Not sure if you've made the effort to join in yet. I know I haven't seen you since we've been here, and we've had several get-togethers. Don't be a stranger! We'd love to meet you in person.
I love walking into a restaurant to eat and knowing what I'm being served was just delivered fresh to the cook's kitchen!

Me either.....but I had some great pizza in Eastport....in at least two or three places. Me thinks someone has their wires crossed. And as the country boy always says....if you don't like the view, move yourself to where you like the view. Since I only live a few miles from GA....I am qualified to make a comment.
