not surprised .. oh well ... rumor on the boards is that Brian Kelly won't even be considered for the job. He's not high profile enough. Brian Kelly is in the same boat as Urban Myer when he was at Bowling Green. He needs to go one more step up.

Could be Saban or Stoops.

Brian Kelly is a true Irishman and I say hire him. He's plenty seasoned and tough enough to coach at ND. Always remember, 'if he's green, he's mean.'

We should have hog tied and handcuffed Urban Meyer 5 years ago so we wouldn't be in this God awful situation today. It's tragic that I have to walk into Costco and see a large book for sale about Notre Dame Football with the foreward written by Charlie Weis.

yea, remember the last Irishman they tried to hire ... worked out for about 48 hours. And the last coach they hired from Cincinnati didn't work out either.

Skip Holtz!

See, this is why I think many ND fans are delusional. Why would either of these coaches leave their current programs (Alabama and Oklahoma, respectively) for ND? 'Bama and Oklahoma are bona fide national championship contenders who can recruit anyone from anywhere. They don't have the academic restrictions ND places on its recuits.

Too many ND fans, particularly the alumni, think their program is bigger than it actually is today. This is not 1988.

A cheating Irishman doesn't count and that's why O'Leary was called out as he tried sliding into home base at ND. Curriculum vitae failure.

The final selection could be a dark horse candidate. ND needs an energetic and winning coach on the way up and not someone in turmoil or transition.

Tuberville was the guy who said he would never leave Ole Miss except in a pine box. Shortly thereafter he made a fast exit to Auburn. Go Tommy!

I am already getting worn by the search for a new Head Coach. Swarbrick has a lot on his plate.
