Anyone see that movie, Monty Python's Terry Jones directed and narrated? It's a historical lesson about financial bubbles, came out in 2015. Currently on Netflix.

All the factors that always preceded a bust seem to be happening now. Overvaluation, high optimism, very low VIX. Historically, people always said, no we're not in a bubble, it's just that everything is good. Then...BAM, market drops like a lead balloon.

I'm a fan of financial movies, but I have never heard of this one.

I found it interesting and entertaining. The main theme is that the factors are always the same, yet people always ignore them saying 'this time it's different.'

Even talked about how regulations are always put into place to prevent the bust from happening in the future, but over time people forget history, deregulate, and the cycle continues. Sounds very familiar!

I was going to start a new thread about the next market crash and thoughts on when it's coming. I absolutely feel as though it will be this year. I know Buffet said we're not in a bubble but even he has made costly mistakes before.
