Hi All -

I'm looking for some help and advice on choosing an apartment from the shortlist that I'm including below. Here's what we (my girlfriend and I) are looking for:

First of all, we would really like to say under the $1,000 mark.

For floorplans, we're mainly looking at 1 bedrooms, but would love the additional space of a 1+den or 2 bedroom, should the price be right.

On the subject of apartment features/details, we would like a new(er) apartment with an open floor plan and updated kitchen (preferably a glass-top stove, dishwasher and garbage disposal are a must, and nice counter tops and cabinets are big pluses) and a digital thermostat is required. Additional [big] perks are valet trash, generous ceiling fans, a balcony/patio that has enough space to be enjoyed by 3 or 4 people conversing, and a generously spacious and luxurious master bathroom. A 24-hour [well-equipped] fitness center is also an enormous attraction.

As for the type of community, we're both pretty young, but we don't want to live in a loud or "party" community.

Regarding location, we would like to remain relatively close to UNF (say, 15 min max) and close to the Town Center and The Avenues. Tapestry Park is also an area of interest.

In a few words --> simple, elegant, sophisticated, modern.

Here's our current "shortlist" after visiting many communities in Jacksonville:

1) Citigate
2) The Reserve at Wynnfield Lakes
3) Thornton Park
4) Coventry Park
5) Wimberly at Deerwood
6) The Reserve at James Island

Can anyone possibly voice their opinion on not only the above communities (against our desired features/amenities, of course) but also maybe recommend properties that could have slipped through the crack of our search?

Any and all help, advice, and guidance is greatly appreciate. Thank you in advance!
