I applied for a job 5 days ago and got a response from the company. It’s not a generic acknowledgement and has contact information for who I assume is the hiring coordinator. The email I did send my application was a generic email though. Do I respond and say thank you or something or just let it be?

Good morning xxx,

Many thanks for your interest in the position at xxx, the time taken to prepare your application is greatly appreciated.

We will be reviewing all applications shortly and will be in contact if you are successful.

Kind regards,

Xxx

Do I respond and say ...?
Not at this juncture.
At least not if that "not a generic acknowledgement" doesn't INVITE you to respond now.

Give it a week or so for them to finish their inquiries and process
and for them to get back from their Labor Day weekend at the beach.

That is essentially a generic acknowledgement. No need to reply.

There is nothing to respond to. They acknowledged your application, and they will be in contact if they want to move forward with you.

You would be replying to a bot most likely. They aren't too chatty!
