I applied for a job 5 days ago and got a response from the company. It’s not a generic acknowledgement and has contact information for who I assume is the hiring coordinator. The email I did send my application was a generic email though. Do I respond and say thank you or something or just let it be?

At least not if that "not a generic acknowledgement" doesn't INVITE you to respond now.
Give it a week or so for them to finish their inquiries and process
and for them to get back from their Labor Day weekend at the beach.
You would be replying to a bot most likely. They aren't too chatty!
