This one was interesting. It would fit the requirement but if you did the bare minimum at your job instead of doing a very good job, would your boss be happy? Probably not. In a religious environment I would say no even though it should technically be okay.

If one goes to the Kotel (wailing wall) without a kippa/hat, a paper plate (looks like a coffee filter) is issued to them to place on their heads before nearing the wall. If a paper plate is acceptable by the 'O' at the wall then surely a baseball cap is too.

A paper plate doesn't have the name of a team on it, which would take away from the purpose of the item. A plain hat without a team logo, might be different.

A baseball cap is a type of hat (it could be called simply a ball cap/ivy hat/fedora/etc). It does not mean its a logo hat. FWIW the logo means nothing since there are numerous kippas with logos on them too.

Many observant Jews are strict to always have 2 coverings on their head when davening. That can be a yarmulke and your tallis. A yarmulke and a streimal or black hat. Or if not on Shabbos or a holiday, a yarmulke and a baseball hat. But this is a stringency to cover your head twice. I'm sure there are many shailas (halachic decisions) that say a baseball hat all by itself is fine for most occasions.
