Hey all,

I am planning on taking my wife and 4 kids out to the plains for a storm chasing vacation for a little over a month and I am looking for some affordable accommodations for us, with a basement! My daughter is a little scared after watching some epic tornado footage today.

Does anyone here have a back house, house, mobile home, etc or know of anyone that may be able to help us out?

Thanks so much!

You can email me at brian@impressivecreations.com or post here. I will keep an eye on this!

Thanks

I don't know about rentals, but I hope you're not disappointed if you come to Kansas and see NOTHING during the time you're here. You'll probably see thunderstorms during that time, but don't be surprised if you don't see a tornado!

Thanks! Yeah, we are planning on driving around a bit, but I was thinking it would be a good place to camp out for the month. Easy N/S E/W roads as well..

Anyone?

Thanks!

Sorry, I don't know anyone with rentals, but I do know that area very well.

I hope you have some other activities/day trips planned or something, because your family is going to be bored silly. There is very little to do out there and the Summer weather is hot, dry and WINDY.

City pool pass for a month will be expensive but there won't be much to do otherwise. The mall will be good for half a day, maybe. It's quite possible that you will see little to no tornado action and if your kids are scared, are you going to take them out in it?

To each his own for sure, but are you sure about this vacation idea?

Here is a link that might give you some ideas about things to see and do.

Best of luck!
