I was wondering what was the average price for senior pictures and who does the best work around here. The person who did our family pics (and did a good job) quoted us $500 for my daughter's senior pictures and mentioned the price as a "discount". It had been so long since mine were done that I have no idea how much they run now. She is my oldest child, so I'm sure this is not the first item that will produce "sticker shock" over the next 5 years (lol). Please don't suggest the school yearbook photographer as the yearbook pics turned out *horrible*. I am grateful for your suggestions.

I am a photographer but not living in Knoxville yet. What did the quote include? Depending on what products are included, $500 may not be off the mark. However, $500 for just a session fee would be high. For locals, I would recommend Amy Larson. Her work is top notch. or Simply Real Photography http://simplyrealphotography.com

Hiring a pro photographer can be expensive but they will be photos that will last a lifetime and great care and quality will go into them. It's a lot more than just pushing a button. Just please don't go to sears, walmart or lifetouch if you are looking for quality pieces, you will be disappointed.

Good luck!

We've had very good luck with Robert Mitchell.
