It IS a beautiful view. We have Chilhowee Mtn as our front window view, and it is so wonderful waking up to that each day.

Thanks for sharing your photos. Looks like you had fun.

Neat pics. You were soclose! The I-40 going toward Knoxville pic actually looks like it is the Pellissippi Parkway at the Westland exit.

You guys make a cute couple.

Kind regards.

It is. I drive that way 5 days a week, and definitely recognize that view. Isn't it a gorgeous drive from Knoxville to Maryville on Pellissippi? I don't think I will ever take it for granted.

Suzycue, nice pictures. It makes me wish I was actually already living in TN like Barb is. I didn't think to take pictures during our drive around. We were concentrating on the houses that we found through Realtor.com and the ones the real estate agent was showing us in or near Maryville.

Em

We were in Cumberland, Roane, Anderson, Union, Loudon, Knox, and Blount Counties for 10 days, returning last monday.

Of all that time, we saw one rainstorm overnight which led to one half of a dreary day. The rest of the days were sunny, clear, and cool. The nights were clear, crisp, and beautiful.

I've never heard of anywhere in TN regularly having that kind of dismal weather, to be honest.

Does your house have too many trees? Shades down? Or maybe you're looking at the world through "not"-rose-colored glasses lol? Cuz the Tennessee I saw (Nashville through Knoxville) was stellar!
I agree.....we were in Knoxville, Maryville, Townsend, Walland and the Smokey Mountains and we had beautiful, sunny weather the entire two weeks. One little rain storm came through but it was sunny and rainy at the same time.

That is exactly how we feel as a family. We are excited about the possibilities of living in a better place but we are scared at the same time. A year will be here before you know it and than our lives are going to change dramatically. I think we just get too comfortable, even with living conditions that we don't like.

That is so true...Everyday in my one hour drive home from work I think about my move and how much my life is going to change, and I thought the same thing you just stated.....I feel sad to know that I am selling my home and will be leaving such a beautiful city, but just the thought of how much happier my marriage and life will be, that motivates me even more to move out of here! But the unknown is what is killing me, cause we have NO Job yet, nor a place to live!!!
