Thinking about moving to Vegas in the spring. What exactly is the weather like there? I currently live in Kansas City and its crazy ... One day its 80 then the next day it is 40. You can literally have your A/C on during the day and furnace on at night. And humidity ... way too much of it.

Our "spring" starts...somewhere between late February & mid March (tshirt weather). It doesn't get HOT until late June or early July. "Fall" would be late September - November (more tshirt weather).

Spring & fall are my favorite times of year out here

In my experience, the heat (100+) starts mid-May to early June. If you're not saying it's hot by late June, you're not in Las Vegas.

This last summer was much milder, though. Almost pleasant, some of the time.

HOT is a relative term....when I lived in Phx, you could guarantee to hit 100 degrees by Memorial Day. Vegas? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Guaranteed you will hit 100 degrees by mid June.

And 100f really isn't a big deal here, so long as the humidity is down. I thought this past summer was the worst because we had so many humid days. Although the year I moved here it was basically 115f for the entire month of August. That was pretty rough, too.

In mid May, the average high temperature is only 89. In fact, by the end of the month, the average high is still only 94.

Here is a website that may be helpful regarding average temps in Las Vegas year round.
VEGAS.com: Weather: Average Temperatures

www.Vegas.com/weather/averages.html

It can get pretty hot in the summer but it's usually only 3 months of the year. If you can have access to a pool you will find that you can spend more time outside in the summer, or drive 30 miles from town and take a hike in the mountains where it will be much cooler, or hang out at Lake Mead or any of our other parks that are close by if you want to be outside.
Other wise you will spend your time in a air-conditioned home or business's for shopping. It's not much different than living in states that are very cold in the winter you don't stay outside in the cold unless your bundled up and you are either in an heated home or any business's you want to go to for shopping .

We don't have radical weather like the coastal states or Northern states. We do have monsoon season hich can bring flooding to some area's of town. But for the most part we have 300+ days of sunshine. Our temperature is cooler than most parts of Arizona.

007 license to sell... This was very helpful. Thanks!!!

One of the main reason I want to move to Nevada is that I am sick of the snow and need more sunshine in my life!!
