Las Vegas is one of the cities possibly getting its first major pro sports franchise.

first lets start off with the
History of pro sports teams(besides minor league baseball and minor league hockey) in Las Vegas

Quicksilvers(1977) of the NASL played at Sam Boyd stadium for only one season. drew low crowds despite the team having Eusebio on their lineup.

Posse(1994) of the CFL, played a season at Sam Boyd Stadium. you probably know the rest of the story(cheerleaders, parking lot practice facility, canadian national anthem disaster)

other defunct pro teams
Outlaws(XFL)-league started out great, but low tv ratings caused the league to fold
Locos(UFL)
Sting and Gladiators(Arena football)


i think its great that Las Vegas is on the verge of gettin on the major pro sports map by trying to lure an permanent expansion team. but theyll be obstacles if the city is awarded.

but here are some ways Vegas can really support this possible NHL expansion franchise
1. avoid the casinos, movie theaters and nightclubs on gameday
2. convince family and friends in the vegas area to support their team
3. if you cant afford to go to the game, then at least watch them on TV or hear them on the radio

vegas can do it(if awarded), i can feel it
