Had my reservation on Tuesday and purchased 2 PSLs in the upper level of the stadium. This may have been a sales tactic lie, but I was told the team will not sell single game tickets once the season ticket sales are over. Was anyone else told this? I didn't buy my seats because of that, but found it striking. I just can't imagine they won't sell single game tickets unless they have some kind of deal with the casinos to sell the remaining open seats at a discount since it would have to be a bulk sale. There's no way they sell out the entire stadium to PSL season ticket holders.

Were you early in making your deposit? Still waiting to get invited to buy...…

They always hold a fraction of seating aside for promotional and charity outreach, but in general, PSL leaves very few general admission seats open to the public. I've tried to lock down Steelers tickets the day of release and rarely find 2 seats together lower than the clouds.

How do you guarantee that? That might be the hope, but if they don't sell all PSLs then they aren't just going to leave the seats empty.

I think I made my deposit within a couple weeks of the team announcing they were accepting deposits. Sometime in spring 2017 I think. In spring of this year I received an email from them which enclosed a survey. I took the survey and stated that I was interested in the reserved sections and would be paying all of the PSL fees in cash if I decided to buy them. Sure enough, once they announced the 2nd round of PSLs going on sale, the reserved seats, I received a phone call and text that allowed me to log into their website and reserve an appointment. If you received that survey in your email months ago and did not take the survey you're probably at the end of the list. Once the reserved seats are sold they will open the 3rd and final section of the stadium for sale.

My PSLs were $7000 each. I'm in row 5 about the 10 yard line in the upper section.

Yes, when I said I paid cash I meant credit card. I meant to say that I paid the full amount up front in one payment as opposed to financing. You can also pay interest free over 3 payments, one payment each year 2018-2020. I elected to pay it all up front to receive the 5% discount. Then, by using my credit card, I also receive like 2% cash back. When it's all said and done my $14,000 seats will cost me $13,100 or so. Make sure to ask them what the actual tickets will cost for your seats. My sales agent didn't even bring it up until I asked. My seats are $160 each per game, so $320 total a game, $3200 a year. If you do not renew your tickets you lose your PSLs back to the team. Some people get so focused on the PSL cost that they don't even consider if they can afford the tickets each year. Also, there will not be program in place where you can "trade in" your PSLs back to the team if you decide to buy better seats or additional seats in the future, so get what you want now. You'll have to sell your PSLs on the private market and then buy new PSLs from someone else.

When you break it down it's like buying an expensive car. $13,100 down payment (PSL cost), and like $270 a month ($3200 annual ticket cost) for the next 30 years. If you decide you don't want to make payments any longer they take the car away and that's the end of the relationship.

All points well put. I have a family member who is a current Raiders season ticket holder who bought PSLs. Paid $10,000 for 50-yard line seats low row in the upper section, exactly like the seats they have in Oakland. The per game cost is $185/seat. The amazing thing about this price is for years when the Raiders were horrible they didn't pay for PSLs and got $70/seat for a few years. Then the team dropped the charge to $25/seat for the many non-playoff years until last year coming off their playoff season when they raised them to $70 again. This year they are $80, still a bargain for the NFL. They went to one of the preseason games and everyone is still around, the prospect of leaving hasn't bothered people and a couple others said they bought PSLs in the same area as well.

As they say, Raiders fans are just different.

I'm sorry,. Thus is all complete idiocy. In a city built on the waste of money, this is the most incredible waste if money I've seen.
