The last time I was in Vegas was March and the Raiders were the talk of the town, everyone was getting really excited about the Raiders. Are the bars doing a good business during the games? Is the excitement still there?

I'd love to tour that stadium, top to bottom. Here's a video, one of many. One video says all transactions are cashless which speeds up the concessions process.

Game day was great! The bars just opened and we could all watch it live on local TV. There was a large contingent of Raiders fans from the Bay Area that made it here and they were all over the news. Their outfits looked like Halloween costumes and their littlest fan a little boy had a speaking part that was used in several sound bites on the news.

Many local Raider fans went down to the new stadium to see the Thunderbirds fly over during the national anthem for the ignagural home game and to tailgate. The bars also saw crowds and we're happy with the turnout, and we saw many people caravan with Raiders flags on their vehicles. The excitement was definitely there and the win bolstered the excitement.

However, I think the Vegas Golden Knights have a larger fan base here from what I've seen. More people wear their stuff and have their car decked out in their stuff. I think because it's a home grown and home town pride. While the Raiders are an adopted team and there was all the controversy about paying for the new stadium.

The other thing that is concerning is the violence on the Strip has increased. I see comments blaming it on Oakland and California coming here though I haven't seen evidence that is the case. It may just be coincidence with the timing. There has been a number of brawls filmed and shootings happening on the Strip and I'm wondering what in the world is going on.

I also saw people blaming it on cheaper room rates bringing in low lifes but recent news says that's not the case either. People aren't increasingly violent or different if they make 30k, 60k or 100k. Even though the Wynn announced they're raising their room rates because of increased violence in order to cater to their luxury demographic and price out the lower clientel.

If it is indeed thugs from Oakland, then the Wynn won't be able to price them out. They have plenty of money, as do most people coming in from California.

Huge fan of the stadium... The fanbase that came with it, not so much.

Glad to hear the excitement is still there what a great way to kick off the season. The Knights have been really good during their first 3 years, that really helped build the fan base. I went to 2 Knight games, it's a great fan experience. The Raiders time will come but it will take a few years for the Raiders to rebuild, but I'm sure the love will continue to grow for the Vegas fans.

Thank you that was awesome. The clubs, the suits, the open spaces ... the fans will love it. This is a one of a kind design that's going to turn into another "must do" when in Vegas. Personally, I was looking forward to going to a UNLV game there, that would be a great way to see the stadium because it wouldn't be 100% full. Also this will be a great venue for concerts, I'm exited for Vegas!

I feel good that I finally broke a lot of rules. I usually try not to, but man, after coming this close to dying here in smoky bad air Las Vegas, (holds fingers together quite close), I guess I can knock that off my bucket list. Who knew that the awful worst ever flu in the Universe would have some really bad side effects later? Anyone else that had it, please, please, please get checked for blood clots. Especially if you cannot breathe and walk!!! THAT is the problem! Some people have multiple, I just had one, Thank the powers that be. The esophageal echocardiogram thingie is a piece of cake. While you are under for 1 1/2 hours give or take, it feels like 20 seconds. No pain, no memories.

Oh wow PinkString a PE is very serious. Glad you're alive too.

The smoke has been really bad. My eyes sting and I have a headache that won't go away for days from it. I take pain reliever for it but it doesn't seem to help because the smoke irritation is constant. It's supposed to hang around the valley for the next two weeks they say. I really don't like it.

Did you have the flu or COVID19? Sounds horrible. I need to get my flu shot soon. Thanks for reminding me.

Merry Lee, Ever since I had the coronavirus the beginning of the year, I could not breathe the last 9 months. Found out blood clots are one of the surprises we get later on from having that rotten virus. Some people get multiple. Was it EA or Airics that had the virus and he said his lungs felt like feathers? Probably multiple blood clots. I also notice EA is no longer a member since 7-24-20. I hope he is OK. I wish my memory was better, sucks getting old. lol. It's actually too many medications right now. I went from 1 a day to 8. Only temporary until this is all over. Dissolve the rotten monster inside and regain my health. Also, have been looking at other states to move to later on, not sure where yet. Unless something miraculous happens to keep us here, I don't know. I hope all the smoke is gone before then.
