Greetings,

I moved to Las Vegas from Canada. I brought my Canadian vehicle with me and need to register the car in Nevada.

The vehicle has been imported by US Customs. It also passes SMOG.

Each time I go to the Las Vegas DMV I am told I am missing something different than the last time.

Each individual I meet contradicts the last person.

Most recently I had everything I needed to Register the vehicle except the Lien Release "Formatting" was unacceptable. Even though it reflected the Government of Alberta's credentials.

Please understand that it wasn't that there was a lien on the vehicle but that the individual working at the time did not like either the Third party Lien release or the Provincial Government form showing that there was no lien. The person could not describe to me what a proper lien release would look like.

It has been almost two years that I have been unable to get the vehicle registered so I may have to return it to Canada to sell it. Which will be difficult as I have no ties to Canada and cannot Register the vehicle in Canada to drive it legally.

Before I do anything I was hoping someone might be able to assist me in this process.
