I myself and my wife as well as 2 children one is 17 and other one is 10 like to visit Canada with green card without passport (My Bangladeshi passport expired). I have US Driver Licence, my wife have state ID, my daughter have Driver learner Id and my son have no ID. Can we travel to Canada and re-enter USA again with the above documents.
Sorry for not updating my travels after my trip. For anyone that wants to know. I didn't fly to Canada. I ended up driving to and from with only my Green Card & Drivers License without any problems whatsoever. I actually went back again this year without a hitch as well! Hope this helps anyone that is considering travels to Canada.

Yes. Took me some time to find out this info on my own. Wish I would have just signed back on to the site and have seen your answer. For anyone that is stateless as I am and are considering international travel. What T-310 suggests above is what we would need to fly internationally. Its sort of like a temporary passport. Its only good for 1 year and will cost you $220 i believe. And up to 2 months to receive. So I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you are for certain you will be traveling that year. I hope this helps anyone in my same situation!
I am a Canadian citizen with a valid green card. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Newark airport, Porter Airlines gate attendant stopped me from boarding a flight to Canada because I did not have a passport, even though their on-line check-in issued me a boarding pass when presented with my green card number, and airport security accepted this boarding pass and my green card for boarding. The green card is supposed to be acceptable, but the attendant showed me Porter's policy which requires a passport. Anyone else have this experience?

A Green Card (had one also after coming from Ont ). It and the US Passport Card only works at Border/land crossings to Canada/Mexico along with Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands by ship.
Both cards not for any Air travel period since 9/11.
Google US Immigration for verification.
Thanks Steve for feedback, but there is this from USCIS.gov site . . . . .
"You can use your Green Card to:
Prove employment eligibility in the United States when completing the Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
Apply for a Social Security Card and a state issued driver’s license.
A Green Card is valid for readmission to the United States after a trip abroad if you do not leave for longer than 1 year. If your trip will last longer than 1 year, a reentry permit is needed."
??? Cheers . . .
