2.5 years, minus 90 days.

3X3X3

3 years as a permanent resident; and
3 years of living in marital union the same U.S. citizen; who
has been a citizen at least 3 years

Or... 5 years on your own.

That's you.

He won't have been a citizen for three years by the time you hit your 5 year mark.

Me and my husband were married in 2008, at that time my husband was a green card holder. Now he is US citizen. I already got my green card since 2 years ago. So when could I apply to get US citizenship? May I know that in situation and do I need to wait for 5 years or 3 years more?

Hello, I know this thread been here for a long time but i hope some one help me with an answer :O

I want to know if I'm illegible to apply for citizenship now or not, I got married on 09/2011 and got my two years conditionals card on 11/2012! now it's about the time to apply for a green card(10Years) Can I apply for citizenship counting from the date I've been admitted to US(07/2011) or even the marriage date 2011?? or it's only counts from the date the green card issued on 2012? can someone help please!

Look at your greencard, there is a "resident since..." date on there. it's three years from that, assuming you are still married to the same USC.
