I am planning to move with friends to a house with security system and cameras in the south oak forest neighborhood in Little Rock. What do I need to be aware of in that area? Regarding crime mainly. Half tell me it's an alright area and others tell me to avoid it. I currently live close to Sherwood, but the oak forest area is closer to my work.

I don't recognize "oak forest". Where is it located?

O.K., I haven't been in the area for a few years so probably shouldn't comment but that hasn't stopped me before Prior to the 1960s Fair Park Blvd and surrounding area was (if you put a "tag" on it) upper middle class and was famous for azaleas in every yard. In the 1960s/70s things changed and the homes and yards were not as well maintained. So, depending on where your house is actually located, it could be in a transition area between an O.K. area and a not so good area. But with all the security equipment already installed, that should give you a clue. I'll see if I can get more current info.

I'm baaak! O.K., the L.R. crime stat map shows that as a relatively "clean" area for the past few years, but again, depending on the actual location of the house. Some of the nearby areas have reported crimes.
