Are you saying gas went UP a whole $1 in the past 48 hours?

OP, from all the threads you post...it seems like you are jealous of the ones who can afford to live in LA.

Also billionaires in NYC often have multiple properties. You can have the condo in NYC and the house in the suburbs or upstate. Meanwhile all your other amenities are right there.
Are the big houses with big yards and stuff in the outer boroughs pretty close to stuff though? I mean like the same kinds of stuff people would be really close to living in big houses in L.A?

True I'm sure more billionaires in NYC or even nonbillionaires that are worth a lot have have multiple homes.
I know there is always a lot of talk about the rich of Manhattan hanging out in the Hamptons and all that.
At least that's what I learned from

The rich kids of instagram

The photos from there seem very NYC/East Coast centric though. It's not that interesting because they all seem to do the same type of thing. Show themselves drinking champagne, show exotic cars or themselves in private jets.

I mean do younger kids really like champagne THAT much? Or is it just for show?

The big houses are more for weekends or what not (speaking of the rich). When they want to be close to everything, they stay in their Manhattan condos.

And close in Manhattan means walking distance, not a drive. In that since Los Angeles everything is far away. It's why NYC is the nation's financial capital, the design of having everything in walking distance (if you can pay enough money) is really attractive to business people.

Or because that's where the banks were located historically.
