Can someone please explain the logic behind selling bags of oranges on those narrow street intersection medians? I see these orange vendors everywhere, mostly standing on the median holding a bag of oranges which no one seems to be interested in buying. Surely, someone must be buying a bag here and there, otherwise the vendors would not be standing there like lifeless mannequins. Yet, I've never once seen someone stick an arm out of their car to buy a bag while the traffic light is red.
