It looks so peaceful at dawn. You won't catch me near it between 7:00-8:30am or 4:30-6:00pm, though! The state really needs to shell out for a twin span, though. Make it like the Shreveport-Barksdale bridge, which is quite nice now.

I-20 is my "Jimmie Davis Bridge" as far as traffic is concerned. In fact last week I had to be rerouted twice during my morning commute due to major accidents, and today I rerouted myself because it was backed up and barely moving from downtown Shreveport to the Airline Drive/Industrial Drive area in east Bossier.

I agree. Fortunately, I travel the bridge during the off hours so I'm usually only one of a few cars on it.

You are very lucky! My former coworker lived just across that bridge in Plantation Trace and had to cross it at 7:30am and 5:30pm! Ouch.

Default Louisiana Revisited

1. BNSF freight train passing through Crowley, heading east toward Lafayette.
2. The Welcome to Louisiana stone at the Welcome Center on I-10 coming into Louisiana from Houston.
3. What was once the Acadiana Cafe. God, I loved their tacos. I used to eat there when I'd come to Crowley to visit my great grandmother when I was a kid.
4. The storefront of what was once my great grandmother's dress shop in downtown Crowley.
5. The old train station in Crowley.

Enjoy!
Scott
