@JaxRhapsody

Hey, yeah I have to drive in order to get a job. I will stay here for the next 11 months and would like to see some things in this region and maybe some other places. I still live in Jefferson County, but far outside ;-)

Hi! I recently moved to Louisville as well. I am 36, a single mom (daughter almost 6) and also looking to meet some friends here in Louisville. What area of Louisville do you live in?

I would agree with the previous posts; Louisville is one of the most nativist cities in the country. I did not notice it when I was growing up there (my family are all lifelong residents of the area; my immediate family was the first (and only) part of my clan to leave), but when I moved to the highly transient city of Richmond, Virginia in 1988, I realized just how insular Louisville can be. Best of luck to you!

What's shocking about this post is that I was saying the same thing about Richmond when I moved from Louisville. If you aren't fond of people stuck in 1952, try people who are stuck in 1865!!! (Yes, there are times I believe that the Civil War is still being fought here, and the natives actually hold a grudge!)

I believe you mean the War of Northern Agression.
