I'm moving to louisville this summer and wanted to get some recommendations for some apartments. I wanted to stay west of the airport and wanted to be within 15 minutes of bardstown rd and the 264. My budget is around 600/month and wanted something safe and clean. Also, any suggestions on which neighborhoods in the area are better?

Rolling Hills might be your best bet. That's where I've been for 2 years. It's around $675 and the safest and best value I've found. it's off of Westport and about 15-20 minutes from Bardstown and 264.

This is your best option, west of the airport anyways:
HOUSE - NEWLY REMODLED - 2BR HOUSE - GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD
The house looks great for the price, and it is in Beechmont, which is one of the safer and best areas in South Louisville/West Louisville. (west of airport).
I would jump on that as it shouldn't last at that price being recently remodeled.

I registered just to disagree about rolling hills. I lived there over 3 years. Unless you enjoy car breakins, constant loud neighbors who get the cops called on them, etc. If you do drugs there's sure to be someone in your building who sells, so that could be a plus.

Almost the whole city is fine outside a few parts of West Louisville. You need to tell us more about yourself first. Age? Job? Job location? Where will you move from? Married? Have kids? Do you like to walk to things or do you like quiet suburbs? Are you a foodie, artist, or musician?

Country Acres is a very well-managed property to check out. It is on Breckinridge Lane near Bardstown Rd. If they don't have anything available, inquire if they have anything available in their other properties around town.

I'm moving out there by myself for school. I'm 24. Not married and no kids. The school is on bardstown and 264 and would like to stay somewhat close to that but wouldn't mind a little bit of a drive for a nice quiet neighborhood.

So, Sullivan University is a great school. Your best bet is to stay further north off Bardstown, in the Highlands section of town. Search craigslist.
