To be honest, it gets old after awhile and driving through there after working the night shift and being sleepy (like me) can be downright risky.

Red face Your making me homesick.

Looking at the beautiful older homes, makes me homesick for my beatuiful older home in Indiana. I miss the large spacious rooms, and the three large walkin closets. The gourgous woodwork, I could go on and on. If I weren't so old, and my home now paid for, I would go house hunting for another home of my dreams. Thanks for reading my ramblings of an old lady in Hillview Ky. Helen1214

Several of those were taken right where I lived for several years (4th and Hill). I also lived at Barrett and Breckinridge Streets in the Original Highlands. I really took a liking to the walkability or those areas. I could take a 2 mile walk to Cherokee Park and stop at a restaurant on the way back all without driving!

I hope someday Americans will stop hyperventilating any time "mixed use" or "high density" developments are proposed. The Highlands and Old Louisville are still mostly detached houses with private parking (unless it's an apartment house), it's not like liking in Singapore.

We need new photos! Especially a skyline one. I can't seem to find any new ones since the Yum! Center was built.
