Hi y'all. I'm looking for looking for information about the energy business in and around the Lubbock area. I expect to move to Lubbock in the next few months, and will be looking for a long-term truck driving job with an established player in this market. I have experience gathering crude oil, hauling propane, and hauling motor and jet fuels. My preference would be gathering crude, but I will consider all available opportunities.

I know there are crude and refined product pipelines in the area. Who hauls crude to the IP stations, and who hauls refined product away from the racks?

Any and all information you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you, WT. If I were able to move to Midland, I'd be able to stay with my present employer, but that's not in the cards.

I was in Lubbock this past weekend and I saw some oil leases NW of town with pumpjacks in motion, so I know someone is gathering that crude. I also saw some big Centurion tanks west of the Interstate, so I know that's either an IP or a pump station. And I saw a fuel rack on Hwy 84 going toward Littlefield, but I didn't see any trucks coming out of it or going into it, so I don't know which carriers are active in this market.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this so that I won't be cold-calling prospective employers.
