I find this concept of Distributism interesting. It reminds me somewhat of a book I read some time ago, "The Great Explosion" by Eric Frank Russel (1962).

It's an interesting read. Don't know if it is available in print anymore but I did manage to find it on-line at The Memory Hole:

I didnt' read the whole thread but have my own idea on 'parties' political or otherwise as well as most organizations.

It's an attempt at divisiveness. Always.

Just my two cents.

I'm not much a joiner. I love every person who is capable of love and the rest of them, too.

It's the only rule.

I fully support the rights and philosophies of anyone to freely join and support anything that they find worthy of their time.

I have worked on ONE political campaign. When it failed I had previously decided that IF it failed I would be relocating.

And, here I am.

The whole idea of left and right is an attempt at divisiveness.

They're all stealing from us.

When the post was only one page long I read elston's and quiet walkers and agreed with what they said.

Sorry I did not read past quiet walker's today.

I take that back. I did read the distributism and found it interesting.

Still --- another division.

Like religion. Divisions.

One god. Or whatever your idea of god is.

Faith is so much better.

Power from the people is so much better.

Political parties??

I vote decency.

I do note that when I check the town demographics that oddly enough they are almost always nearly equal. But the census info is outdated.
I don't know when the last census was done. I avoid that stuff. LOL.

Thought the question was excellent. Read this first page the other day in my last attempt to spend some time here.

In Ohio, we are not permitted to register as Libertarians... only Republicans, Democrats, or independent.. though I always vote my concious..it tends to be Libertarian as I believe the government should fear the people not the other way around ( can anyone say concentration camps?)

For the record, I was not just being silly or flippant like normal. Our government is currently building concentration camps. The DH heard only part of the story, but apparently due to the nation's current state of emergency (terror levels and all that jazz).. there is talk of suspending the next Presidential election and those who protest or try to vote , well you know where their are supposed to end up. I have yet to google to see what the true story is_or if it would even be there), however the fact that even could get mentioned on NPR(I think) has me a lttle concerned.

The idea that such could be mentioned on NPR is due to our constitution.

There are youtubes of the concentration camps they are building. This should be MSM news not just NPR. Unfortunately there is no MSM now. It's almost all propaganda. Our local reps are fronting impeachment (wexler) but three mainstream newspapers turned down an oped written by three congressmen. He had to open his own website.
Go to youtube if you haven't already and search for the concentration camp videos. It will make you sick. I"m surprised they are there.
