I am not sure who is zanier on this issue. Either Whole Foods is smart as a whip for all the free publicity they are getting or they will be focus of a boycott by Mainers. I do not eat lobster. I have tried it a few times. It does not stay warm like a steak and you need to dip the meat in butter. I just would not miss it if I could not buy it at my grocer. If anything, Whole Foods not carrying lobster just allows other guys to sell the item. No loss really, but Maine media and the press are once again in search of trivia to milk time with. The reaction of locals is kind of incredulous though. I guess it is like when Oprah putv down beef in Texas that time and had to go to court. So much for Maine's progressive flanks. I still think it is a hoot that lobster used to be used as bait and was relegated to the status of squirrel and opossum as a delicacy.

Did the Whole Foods in Portland open yet? If not, any idea when?
